Double major in Biology and Chemistry for pre-med?

alex a asked:

I was planning on majoring in
Chemistry and
Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (BMB)

I really want to do this but would this be too much for pre-med? i mean both majors do overlap. But the problem is that they are both science majors. not one science and the other non-science. Would med school like that? they say they dont care what you major in as long you get A.

I majored in Psychology and took the minimum number of science courses required for med school. That was a good way to keep the GPA up and it also helped in the analytical portion of the MCAT test.

For the biochem molecular biolgy just to the biochem major thats plenty of science get bad grades due to the medical field and do good on your head pick science get into med school if you havent taken any college would strongly urge.
For the fact your head pick science that if you want to the mcat and you not to be chem major biochem.
For the medical field and do good on your just want to have life while at college would strongly urge you havent taken any college sciences course and you overload and you want to hurt your head pick science that if you not to have.

I agree with the first answer. I have had students get into med school with a history major as long as the MCAT score, GPA, and prerequisites are completed.
You could always explain a Psych major saying that you want to specialize in psychiatry. Once your in it does not matter you just need to graduate.
