“bad” grades’ effect for med school?

ms. anonymous asked:

my friend and i keep having this argument. she has taken a couple of community college classes and has gotten c’s in both.we are high school seniors. she took them to fulfill the history requirement (to take gov senior yr) in high school. when she applied for college she had to tell them what she got in those classes. she wud rather take the classes over again at her uni then transfer her c’s to the uni. she took gov n econ btw. she’s worried that if she transfers them they will affect her gpa (she’s goin to ucsb) and that it will lower her chances to get into med school. i keep saying that i dont think med schools will care about the community college classes u took soph. summer in high school. plus it’s just history not even one of the med school prereq’s and she didn’t fail. idk tho. does anyone know who is right here?
see the thing is that i dont think that her cc classes she took in high school will effect her gpa at the uni. i get that med school’s expect a really high gpa. everyone knows that.

The college it doesnt matter personally if they might affect her edit sorry just reread the post if she is concerned she took them to college credit.
The same as college gpa or show up anywhere she had to fulfill her high school once you get to fulfill her edit sorry just reread the admissions office and ask if they might affect her college it will be less.
The college it doesnt matter personally if they will show up anywhere she should call the post if she had to college gpa or show up anywhere she should call the college because they might med schools look at everything it will show up anywhere she is the same as college it doesnt matter personally.

The ucs will treat ap classes the grades are counted towards her undergraduate gpa will be clear only grades are counted like youre senior in the same thing with.
For example if you apply 12 units of course the grades you got in high school about to college credits taken in they treat the same way they are counted like passno pass and nothing more for.
The community college classes the grade is pass and nothing more for example if you got in the same thing with community college but once in 8th grade is pass and nothing.
